Managed Print Services (MPS) are going mainstream as enterprises seek cost savings. But as the market matures, customers’ expectations are growing, too. The level of sophistication and support required to continually deliver long-term sustainable savings is going to be much more complex—the days of MPS providers securing business simply by offering discounts on hardware is no longer sustainable.
Konica Minolta’s Optimized Print Services (“OPS”) targets the upper SMB and Fortune 1000 customers. It combines consultancy, workflow efficiencies, fleet optimization, software integration, service and support for hardware and implementation services. The OPS process is based on the use of a tightly integrated data collection agent (DCA) and robust analytics to deliver comprehensive reporting that drives data-driven decisions related to managed print services.
THE EMPHASIS IS ON EFFICIENCY
Current printing environments are comprised of unmanaged printing, imaging and fax devices that aren’t optimized or designed to deliver maximum potential to today’s business world. Konica Minolta’s Optimized Print Services (OPS) is based on a proven methodology that delivers efficiencies to manage enterprise printing expenditures . The OPS concept has four components:
Fleet | We right-size the document output fleet to actual business needs, providing optimal business process and fleet support, and establishing continuous optimization – balanced with minimal cost of ownership and environmental impact.
Process | We analyze all business-relevant document flows to increase productivity.
Financing | We offer different purchasing and leasing options as well as various contract models; existing contracts are integrated into a single, transparent plan.
Security | We design and implement IT and information security solutions, including everything from user authentication and data-safe hard disk handling of disposed devices to complex network security requirements.
Green | We support customers’ sustainability goals with environmentally friendly document-related hardware and business workflows and continue to monitor and asses environmental performance throughout the lifecycle.
HOW IT WORKS…
Implementing Konica Minolta’s OPS solution is a three-step process:
- 1. Consult: We analyze all document workflows, including scanning, printing, and any printed email, archiving and outsourcing. We identify optimal security protections for documents and devices, with multiple options for user authentication, account tracking, data encryption and network security.
- 2. Implement: We present a right-size document fleet, tailor-made to the customer’s business needs—with sophisticated digital functionality, networked productivity and finishing power for on-demand production. Our world-class support for the user’s entire system includes automated meter reads, proactive maintenance and delivery of consumables, online training and more.
- 3. Manage: We keep our customers’ equipment operating at peak performance. Remote monitoring reduces administrative costs and enables the user’s IT staff to concentrate on business objectives.
Knowledge is power—our in-depth understanding of customers’ print environments drives cost performance. We offer a single platform that links together all print elements to help our customers transform their print infrastructure.
When we say “Count On Konica Minolta,” we mean it! We’re there for the long haul. We show companies how they can manage beyond Year One and Year Two—ongoing ways to automate processes and workflows as well as how to continue to drive expense out of the organization.
Konica Minolta is a true MPS partner!
